Students create hands-on projects inspired by Russian culture, including traditional art forms and folklore.

Decorative Eggs

These projects begin with traditional decorative egg styles and allow students to creatively reinterpret them. They also connect patterns and symbols to what they’ve learned about Russian culture.

Interpretive Models

Students created models of Baba Yaga’s hut—traditionally depicted on chicken legs—based on their own interpretations of a folktale read in class. With no visual references, they built from their imaginations.
