Student Travel: Domestic and International
Completion requirements
Student Travel: Domestic & International
Student travel extends learning beyond the classroom. Through both domestic conference travel and international cultural immersion, students connect their learning to real experiences, practice independence, and engage with new environments.
Domestic Travel
I independently planned and led multi-day student travel to regional and national conferences, managing logistics, supervision, and programming for large groups.

International Travel & Immersion
International travel provides students with direct cultural and linguistic experiences that cannot be replicated in the classroom. Through guided immersion in Spanish-speaking environments, students engaged with language in authentic contexts, built cultural understanding, and developed confidence navigating unfamiliar settings.

Navigating New Places
Traveling together meant learning to move confidently through airports, schedules, and unfamiliar spaces.
Students navigated new environments throughout the trip, from airports and city streets to boats and excursion sites.
Experiencing Culture
Visiting historic and cultural sites gave students the chance to connect classroom learning to real places.
At Café Britt in Costa Rica, students participated in an interactive presentation while learning about coffee production and culture.
Growing in Confidence
Swimming in a cenote challenged students to step into an unfamiliar environment and trust themselves.
Students tried new activities that pushed them beyond their usual comfort levels.
Experiences like horseback riding required confidence, adaptability, and trust.
